ABOUT ME
My Story
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work from Chicago, Illinois, with over 20 years of experience in social work and mental health and over 4 years as a psychotherapist. I've worked with clients through a wide range of concerns and issues including: post-traumatic stress, depression, low self-esteem, relationship complications, family conflict, grief, loss, and emotional abuse.
While navigating the ebbs and flow of life, I too experienced grief, depression and loss. I placed my mental health on the back burner. I struggled to find my Joy. I fought to develop the mindset and focus needed to find my Joy. Most are in a pursuit of happiness; however, I've found happiness to be a temporal state, sustainable with the external. Joy is permanent, sustained through personal, internal work.
My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful and client-centered, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity but most importantly I pride myself on demonstrating compassion for all and being sensitive to the needs of others. I look forward to working with you.
